The Skills Lab
Individual Soccer Skill Development Program for Ages U8 to U12
Using state-of-the-art technology and individual data to help young players get the most out of the game they love. Training sessions in our innovative skills lab are designed to develop technical skill, knowledge, character, confidence, and a strong athletic foundation.
How It Works
-
Who Is It For
There are Two Age Group Categories: i) U8 and U9, and ii) U10 to U12
The Skills Lab Program is for anyone who is looking for consistent technical training as part of their development. It is designed for motivated players and those looking to train to grow.
U8 and U9 sessions are co-ed, U10 to U12 sessions have both a GIRLS and a BOYS option on the schedule.
-
What Do You Do
Our U8–U9 program features 50–55 minute sessions focused on developing core technical skills like passing, receiving, turning, scanning, and first touch. Using ICON technology, players engage in competitive, game-based exercises with real-time feedback, supporting deliberate, targeted practice.
For U10–U12, sessions run 80–85 minutes and include 40 minutes of technical training plus 40 minutes of foundational athletic development—a youth-tailored version of our Speed & Strength program.
-
When Does It Run
This program runs on a monthly subscription model. When you register, you receive two credits to book sessions on any available day. We recommend attending bi-weekly.
Your subscription renews monthly, providing two new credits each cycle. Session times may vary month to month based on availability. While we’ll do our best to accommodate preferred days and times, we can’t guarantee specific slots.

The Skills Lab Program
Long-term player development is everything. This program is designed for a young athlete that wants some additional fundamental training that compliments the work they do with their teams. In our experience this is done best on a bi-weekly basis and included in their full year of development, not as a ‘sprint’ where players try to get immediate gains.
-
Once you register, you receive a confirmation email with a link to your program’s schedule. Simply click the link and choose the day and time that works for you.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, no problem. When you book a session you receive a confirmation email that has an option to cancel or reschedule a session. This can be done up to 8 hours prior to the session starting.
-
All sessions are hosted in our Skills Lab indoor facility at 564 Weber St. Unit #11 in Waterloo, Ontario.
This is a purposely small-scale training centre. It maximizes small space to help players learn technical skill with limitations.
-
This training is entirely individual. In some cases players may be older or younger than the player training next to them, but it is important to help young athletes learn that it does not matter. Intrinsic motivation, a growth mindset, and always competing with yourself are some characteristics of the most successful athletes and non-athletes in the world.
